How SMS opt-in works

This page documents exactly what a client sees before Craft & Hands Property Care sends a verification code or records optional recurring-service SMS consent.

Last updated August 29, 2026
Two separate choices

A one-time verification text is requested by the “Send verification code” button. Recurring non-marketing service messages use a different, optional, unchecked checkbox. The recurring choice is not required to receive an estimate, buy services, or create an account.

1. Client enters the request and mobile number

At app.crafthands.biz, the client describes the task, may add photos, enters the service address, name, and mobile number, and accepts the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

2. Client requests one verification text

The disclosure immediately before the button says: “By selecting “Send verification code,” you agree to receive one automated verification text from Craft & Hands Property Care. One message per request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.” It links to the Privacy Policy and SMS Terms. Selecting the button creates an immutable audit record and then requests the one-time code. No account or estimate request is created yet.

3. Optional recurring service messages remain separate

The optional checkbox is visible on the public registration page and is unchecked by default. Its disclosure says: “I agree to receive recurring non-marketing text messages from Craft & Hands Property Care about account access, service requests, estimates, invoices, payments, job updates, and customer support. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.” It links to the Privacy Policy and SMS Terms. The client can leave it unchecked and continue.

4. Verification, final submission, and account creation

The client enters the code from the verification text. Verification alone does not submit the job or enroll the client in recurring texts. Only after verification does the client select “Submit request & create account.” Recurring consent is recorded only when its checkbox is selected at final submission.

Customer-initiated manual texting is separate

The public website may also offer a link that opens the client’s own messaging application with a draft request. The client chooses whether to send that message. This customer-initiated path does not silently enroll the number in the application’s optional recurring SMS program.

Opt-out and support

Reply STOP to end recurring texts or HELP for assistance. Clients may also change the optional SMS preference from the verified account profile or call (323) 212-0457. Message and data rates may apply.
